Karachi Kings suffered four-straight defeat in Pakistan Super League 2022. In Karachi, they lost to Peshawar Zalmi by 9 runs, in Match 11. They closed on 164/6 after being set 174.

Babar Azam remained unbeaten on a 63-ball 90, but received little support. Efforts from Ian Cockbain (31 in 19 balls) and Aamer Yamin (20 in 15) were not enough to get the Kings across the line. Mohammad Umar was the pick of the Zalmi bowlers, with 3-22, while Shoaib Malik, Usman Qadir, and Hussain Talat had a wicket each.

Earlier, Malik hit an unbeaten 28-ball 52 to help Zalmi post 173/4 after Babar asked them to bat. Hazratullah Zazai scored 27-ball 41 and Ben Cutting 22-ball 24, while Sherfane Rutherford remained unbeaten on four-ball nine.

Barring Mohammad Nabi, the Kings bowlers went for over seven and a half an over. Umaid Asif took three wickets, but conceded 36.

With the result, the Zalmi moved up to fourth place in the points table, with two wins from four matches, while the Kings remained at bottom, with four defeats in four matches.
